So Here I go.....

My favorite thing to do in this whole world is take pictures, manipulate pictures, and spend time looking at pictures! Lately more and more of my friends and family have been telling me how great my pictures are. I don't think they are anything special. I know I have good composition and I have a knack for telling stories with my photos, but that is wherre it ends!

The truth is, I know I am not as good as they think I am and all these people who tell me I should pursue my dream as a photographer are plain crazy!!! I look all day on photo websites and my pictures are nowhere close to being pro quality, in fact next to the professionals, my pictures look fairly ordinary. I see everything that is wrong with them but I have no idea how to fix them. I know the white balance is off and the exposure is wrong but how do I fix that?

I just don't understand all the technical aspect of it. I have bought several books for reference and have gathered the plethera of information out there on the web but..... I am having such a hard time getting any amount of ME time to read it and absorb it or practice without having my three kids pulling at me, climing on me or whining/screaming in the background! I feel like being a Mommy has turned my brain to mush!

I suppose all I can do is go forward. I am starting today to post some of my photos! Hopefully I can start to see the improvements in my photos and then ina year or two I can look back and say "remember when....."
