It's Easter Bunny Time! My Boys Did It!

Yesterday I asked Carter if he wanted to go with me and Grant to see the Easter Bunny. He looked at me and said "No way!" I told him it was okay, I told him he didn't have to go! I was not going to make him. He looked at me, wide eyed serious as a heart atack and said "Mama, that is NOT the REAL Easter Bunny, it is just some guy in a suit with a bunny mask ya know!" He really makes me laugh sometimes! So today when I picked him up from school he surprised me by telling me that he wanted to go see the Easter Bunny. He said "I am not sitting on his lap though, only the chair!" I thought that was a fair deal but that wasn't all.... "I think I should get a prize too." he negotiated... he is a clever little dude and he knows how to get what he wants. When we got to the mall there was no crying, just huge smiles and waves for the Easter Bunny. Carter was a little shy but smiled like a champ! I am so proud of my big brave boy!

Freakishly Random!

Have you ever been driving down the street and saw something that made you wish you had your camera with you? I was driving in mid-town a few weeks ago and I saw a MAN riding a pink bicycle in a pink DRESS with red stripper heels and tights. He had an after-five shadow and an antique lunch box in the front basket! It was fantastically random and even better because I had my camera with me. Actually this photograph is pretty impressive because I was driving, shooting my DSLR all while moving forward as he was moving forward. I drove by him going 35 mph! I was shocked to see that I actually got him in the frame!

All my favorite Boys!

My Baby brother is 30 years old now! That is pretty weird for me. I still see a toe-headed blonde, blue eyed little boy that I used to torment by tickling him until he cried, building blanketed forts in the living room and having "fun night" with movies and popcorn on the weekends. I see the little boy who used to come in my room in the middle of the night cause he was scared of the dark. My childhood friend who I played He-man, and GI-Joe with for hours on end. The one who spent summer's with me making mudpies and catching water bugs, swimming races and a million games of Marco Polo. The kid I rodes bikes with and searched for Devil's claws in the desert. I still feel protective of that little blonde, blue-eyed boy. Now I have two more little boys to love and protect and do all those fun things all over again with. I think being Tom's big sister helped shape me to be a good mother to my little men. I love seeing all my favorite boys together!

The Furniture Dolly!

My Dad owns a furniture business. He has bought, sold and moved furniture all of my life. When I was a little girl my Dad used to give my brother and I rides on the Furniture Dolly. He would take us all over, weaving in and out, going up and down the driveways and ramps. Recently I took the boys to my Dad's store for a visit! Grant was very excited to take a ride on the Dolly, I don't think he enjoyed it quite as much as I did as a kid, he was a little scared, but he has several more years to get used to it.

A Good Daddy!

Gabe is a good Daddy! The kids truly love him and he loves them back one hundred times over. He reads to them every night! Grant is definately Daddy's boy. This morning when I woke up this is where Grant was laying! I am lucky that Gabe has never minded the boys in our bed. I know how quickly this time will pass, someday they will be "big boys" and not want to cuddle with their old Mom. I have to enjoy it while I can, I think Gabe enjoys it too!
