I took these pictures two weeks ago, but becasue I just started my blog today..... I am posting them now!
One of my girlfriends, who always compliments my photos, just had a gogeous baby girl! She was three weeks old and just absolutely beautiful! I asked my friend if I could come over and take some pictures of her. She was so excited to have me do it which made me so nervous because I am no professional. I just wanted to practice with my new camera and maybe take something cute. So I bought some material and some cheap props and stole several ideas from the internet and talented photo blogs that I stalk regularly. I bought some Toole and a cute basket from Walmart, a pink beanie baby type bear and some flowers. I made a huge pink bow out of some wired ribbon and dragged my stuff to her house! It was very informal. I spent about an hour there. There was virtually no natural light and I had to use the flash because I was using my kit lens on my Canon 40D 28-135mm, I don't have a speedlite and I can't justify buying on until I learn how to work the equipment I have now. I don't need another gadget to frustruate me right now...LOL.... So I snapped away all in manual except a few I think I shot in Program and even a couple (gasp) I shot in AUTO mode. Now I got them home and I am so disappointed with them. They turned out far worse than terrible. They are noisy and dark. So I tried to compensate and then I over photoshopped them. But hey I need to practice that too!
The funny thing is, my friend "says" she loves them. And she probably does, who wouldn't love any cute posed photo of their adorable 3 week old baby! I know when my kids were babies I loved every photo even if half their head was cut off, I just knew my kids were adorable anyway. I still do!

So here they are.... my over-shopped, dark noisy baby photos. I still think the baby is totally adorable though!!! Oh I also took photos of her two older boys and to represent her first son who is an angel in Heaven I added a ball of light. She was so surprised and LOVED it! I felt good because that was soley my idea and something I did special for her.
I also added some of Jess's (2peas) actions, so if the skin tone seams off on some, that was purposefully done. I used the warm sunshine and the ice water on several of them.
So here they are my first unofficial photo shoot! (I am do NOT charge for my photos, so no harm no foul... right??!)
