Staking out a Coyote den!

The most exciting thing happened to me on Friday! I had my camera with me for playgroup at my girlfriend Barbara's house! I had the boy's with me as I drove up to her house out in the desert! There was a coyote int he middle of the road! I was so excited, I whipped out my camera and started taking pictures. Then Mr. Coyote crossed the street and layed underneath the tree. I was only about 15 feet away from him, snapping pictures furiously, not even worried about my settings so as not to miss the moment! So then i got out of the car and what do I see???? BABY COYOTE PUPS!!! My dream come true! I take more pictures and then.... tragedy... I realize I am shooting without a CF card. I had downloaded my pics that morning and left it in my computer! I was sooooo upset! I was in luck though! Their den was RIGHT there. I drove to the nearest Walgreens and bought a CF card (I needed a spare anyway) and I came back to my golden spot! They were gone! I kicked myself the rest of the day! Fortunately, as I was leaving they all reappeared! The Mom, the Dad and SIX pups! I could only get pictures of two pups together, they were so fast and kept ducking back into the den! I couldn't get too many pictures before I had to scoot. This morning I woke up early and drove back to their den and staked it out. Within minutes, they all came out to play! I wish they were clearer! I don't know why they are so grainy at 800 ISO. Some are cropped! Oh well! I was just thrilled to capture them!
